After School Clubs

After tackling a series of word problems in our verbal reasoning test at 11+ Club, we finished with a game of 24. We are getting good at this game!

Cookery Club

Today we made chocolate muffin buns at our cookery club.  We had lots of fun making our buns.

We were given 4 buns to take home and they tasted delicious!

Here are pictures of our buns, yummy!!

Club update – our Summer Term 1 booking form will be sent home today.

At Siddal Primary School we offer a wide range of after school activities for KS1 & KS2.  These activities change every half term so that every child has the opportunity of taking part and having fun!

Here is a list of clubs that are on offer next half term.

Please check this page for more details.

If you would like any more information regarding our clubs, please contact Mrs Godwin, After School Club Co-ordinator.

Y2 Reading Club

Here are some photos of our Year 2 Reading Club.  This club is run by Mrs Godwin and prepares our children for their SATs which takes place during the Summer Term.

The children are given the opportunity to read a selection of books and take part in a comprehension activity. They are given a comprehension sheet to take home and complete.  This week Evie won star prize for her super party invitation design, well done Evie!

Here’s some photos of our Year 5 11+ Club. This club is designed to prepare pupils for the entrance exams to the two grammar schools (Crossley Heath and North Halifax Grammar School). At the moment, we are focusing on the verbal reasoning test. As you can see from the photos, we really enjoy this club! We end the club by playing some maths games. This week we chose to have a darts tournament. Mr Battye finished in last place. 🙁

Creative Design Club – Monday (KS2)

We have been using a range of computer software to create our abstracts.  We looked on the internet for ideas and used Microsoft Paint and the drawing and formatting tools in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Here are some examples of our work.
