Siddal versus St. Joseph’s at The Shay

Pupils from Years 5 and 6 will play at The Shay on Saturday, 13th of October in the half time 5-a-side cup during FC Halifax Town’s match against Chesterfield FC. With a crowd of over 2000 football fans expected and the game being televised live on BT Sport, this will be a fantastic experience for our pupils.

Children from Siddal Primary School and St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School will form a guard of honour as the two senior teams enter the field of play. They will meet some of the players for a Q and A session in the conference suite, watch the FC Halifax Town game free of charge and then play each other on the Shay pitch in front of thousands of fans. The winners of this inter-school tie will progress into the next round of the 5-a-side cup. Click on the image below for more details!

Saturday, the 13th of October is non-league day! There are no Premier League games due to England playing Croatia on the Friday. Because of this, there should be a bumper crowd.  FC Halifax Town have just announced that they are reducing the admission cost to 12s and under to just £1.  In addition, they have invited all local junior football league teams to attend the match free of charge as well as offering a reduction in admission for football fans with season tickets from any club in the country. If this isn’t enough, there will be free face painting from 3.15pm – always a winner!

Good luck Siddal!
